My name is Hannah. I’m a Textile Conservation student, art history graduate, writer, knitter and craftswoman.

Based in Glasgow, with occasional trips to Ukraine, I’m currently studying a two-year MPhil in Textile Conservation at Glasgow University. Most of my time is occupied with stitching, staring down microscopes, learning about fibre chemistry, and wondering why we hold on to bits of old fabric, but very occasionally I manage to write a blog post too.

I use this space to share creative inspirations and activities; all views and content my own unless otherwise stated.

You can find out more about the Textile Conservation course on the centre’s blog: http://textileconservation.academicblogs.co.uk/

    • Thanks! As it happens, today I’ve visited the Souzou exhibition at the Wellcome and a shop full of beautiful Japanese paper, so reading your marvelous blog seems like a strange coincidence. It must be the blossom in the air!
